Westinghouse SK-32H240S 32" LCD TV - 16:9

DO NOT BUY WESTINGHOUSE!!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!

Strengths: NONE noted at this time!

Weakness: TV died after only a little over a year!!!!

This TV DIED after only a little over a year. Westinghouse would DO NOTHING!!!! because it was over a year. Other TVs that I have owned lasted decades. I would expect a brand new TV to last longer than this one did. Absolutely no support from Westinghouse!!!!!! DO NOT BUY WESTINGHOUSE!!!!

good value LCD TV

Strengths: good picture quality, especially for the price; nice appearance unlike those TVs with glossy/shiny bling bling cheap plastic rim; QAM tuner is sensitive.

Weakness: The contrast is lower than a typical Samsung which sets the standard for LCD, in my opinion; HDMI doesn't seem to accept PC input without noticeable degradation.

I told myself not to expect too much from a Westinghouse, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it next to a Samsung and a Sony at BestBuy. The Westinghouse had a slightly darker image, but it was also 30% cheaper. There is a slight buzz from the speakers due to poor noise reduction circuitry, but it is not audible unless you put your ear near them. Overall it's a good value.

Strengths: Great HDTV picture, hitting the TV mute also mutes the home theather (a problem with a returned Insignia unit)

Weakness: Built in side control labels not visible from the front-can't read when the TV is in a hutch.

Have had no problems with the unit. The HD has been great. Use the audio output to drive a small Fisher home theather unit. Good Dolby and Dolby Pro Logic (5.1) sound.

Strengths: Good image quality, interface, looks classy, plethora of inputs

Weakness: Westinghouse's customer service. My monitor showed latent signs of vertical banding (generally, a manufacturing defect) and they refuse to acknowledge the problem.

It'll work great until it breaks. Get an extended warranty. If it sounds like a great deal, then chances are it is too good to be true. I won't be buying from Westinghouse again just because their customer service is too poor for electronics of this cost and caliber.

The Westinghouse is a good buy

Strengths: Great HDTV, compaired beside a Sony and it looks good. Price is great too!!

Weakness: Audio not the best, but run thru my Bose it sounds great!!

Westinghouse might not have the name recognition for TV or HDTV..but I am so pleased with my purchase. My first HDTV. Picture is great, clear, crisp....run thru a home theater system and you are good to go for the price.

Weakness: audio issues

bought this tv because it was on sale at best buy but after having it on for about 2 hours, the audio started to go off and come back on. after turning the power off and back on, the audio came back for a short time then went out completely. i had to return the tv for an exchange. the new one seems to be working well, but it has not been very long so i may or may not have problems with this one...

returned it for audio outs

Strengths: seemed fine and affordable

Weakness: audio outs don't work

returned it (2 of them - tested the second - exchange - while in the store) The audio outs to the home entertainment system didn't give any strength of signal. have heard it is a problem with the model - admit that I didn't try the digital sound hook-up (think it has one) I did the RCA jacks.

Not worth the hassle

Strengths: Decent picture when it works.

Weakness: Picture blinks off and on when trying to use HD formats. 1080i format makes TV picture fail all together. Can not find sources when switching from one to the other and shuts it self off.

I am about to return this TV as the over all performance of this television is not living up to what it was supposed to be. It says that it supports all HD formats but if you attempt to watch a Blueray disc in 1080i format, the TV blinks off all together. Now i have called Westinghouse about this issue and they have told me that i have to pay to return it and for all shipping costs. I have had...

32 " LCD TV

Strengths: Easy To setup, Geat picture and has a sharp look.

Weakness: The sound is little weak.

Just purchased this LCD TV few days ago and so far it is OK. For the price and in comparison with other TVs in the market. I think it is not a bad buy.
