Best value for premium LCD

Strengths: Price and value, 6ms response, 6000:1 dynamic contrast, video quality even in SD, smart stretch feature, 2xHDMI input, Compact size

Weakness: None so far. I would have preferred the black bezel to have more of a matt finish than the shiny glossy one, but for the price performace I can live with it.

I have been looking for and evaluating LCD TV's for quite a while and had been looking to replace all my three tube TV's. I was in the market for 1 37 inch , 1 32 in and 1 26 in LCD. I bought a couple of 32 in second tier brands sold by Costco - Vizio and then Sceptre but was never very happy with them even after I got HD Dish. The SD channels (which is most of them) simply were not very good at...

Sharp AQUOS LC-32D42U

Strengths: Ease of setup. Picture quality. More input connections than most will ever need. A great looker as well.

Weakness: Nothing of consequence. Speakers could have richer quality, but I have quality external speakers that compensate. Remote could be a little more user friendly.

This set can be configured, formatted, and adjusted as to picture, color, screen size, audio in an infinite number of ways. The resolution for dvd input is so clear it appears to be in 3-D. Since it is new, I'm still learning to use all the intelligent features built into the set. For those interested, it will also double as a glorified PC monitor.

AQUOS LC-32D42U 32" LCD TV

Strengths: Sharp with good contrast

Weakness: Haven't discovered any

While investigating LCDs for our big room (looking for a 52") I narrowed it down to the 3 "S": Sony, Samsung and Sharp. While the styling was beautiful on all three models, the Sharp had a very attractive price for what it could do. I decided that since the sharpness and blacks were so impressive on the large Sharp screen, I decided to look into a 32" Sharp for our bedroom and I wasn't...

One awesome TV

Strengths: Built-in digital tuner. Awesome picure, best in the market, but Samsung's catching up. Great looks and two HDMI connectors.

Weakness: Not too many 1081p sources other than blu-ray. Great deal for around $1,000. Speakers kind of thin but adequate. Use Home Theater for real sound.

Sharp has one of the best LCD pictures out there. This is a good sized TV with the advantage of the built-in digital tuner. Picture is great with quick refresh. LCD's starting to catch up with CRT's. Getting more HDMI's on the newer TV's so I can connect my PS3 and Sony DVD jukebox. Like the sleek black look and the speakers on the bottom. Makes it easier to fit in entertainment center.

One Of The Best 32" LCD HDTV's Out There

Strengths: 6000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio(designed for bright rooms and also looks great in dark rooms which is where i have mine), 2 HDMI inputs, very stylish design, different stretch modes for diff. hd modes.

Weakness: A remote that is the size of a Buick, no picture in picture, touted as perfect for gamers yet im having lag problems on guitar hero.

The lag problems are not an issue if you have a ps3 or xbox 360 system, but if have games you like to play that ARE timing based yet ARENT available for these systems, i.e. Guitar hero games, etc. and have a ps2 or xbox you will have an issue. To Sharps credit, I havent fully checked all(most-there are so many) of the options on the tv, but i have changed my ps2 to 16:9 mode. On guitar hero 2 you...

Superb quality, low online price

Strengths: True to life picture quality, Sleek piano black front panel, Great ergonomics, Low online price

Weakness: Slight degradation in picture and sound quality from its older model, LC-40C32U. The new 6000:1 dynamic contrast created awkward flares

I started with the bargain price VISIO, upgraded to the sharp LC-40C32U, and finally the LC-32D42U. The most important feature I found is picture quality in a dark room. With the lights dimmed, details in the dark area of the picture are loss with the VISIO. It is obvious with movies like Lord of the Rings. The Sharp 40C32U was amazing. Every detail shows up, making the picture very life like....

Great LCD

Strengths: Price. Sharpness. Sleakness.

Weakness: Missing some nuts for the stand. Had to go out be buy my own. Direct TV remote doesn't turn the LCD on/off.

Well worth the money. No regrets. Amazing color and brightness. I shopped around and saw the LCD's in person. Not too far off from the Samsung and Sony LCD's.

Sleek, Modern-looking HDTV with a great picture

Strengths: Great HD picture Good contrast Nice Price QAM Tuner Pretty good SD picture

Weakness: Slightly washed out off-angle viewing Speakers/Built-in amplifier aren't quite loud enough

I like this TV a lot. It is made in Sharp's own kameyama plant so you don't have to worry about it being outsourced to China or Thailand. The HD picture is excellent and the SDTV picture is pretty good, I think as good as can be expected. DVDs look fabulous as well. Contrast and color saturation make the picture really vibrant. There's also a QAM tuner. As with most LCDs (except maybe Samsung and...

Far exceeded any & all expectations. First lcd t.v. ever purchased, and not without extensive research. Took a gamble since prdout is so new I could not find any internet reviews.
